Join us and the I-Construct Network for our regular member networking event. These sessions are an opportunity for all members of the Network, large and small, to meet and talk with like-minded individuals within the construction sector.

Our virtual networking, via Zoom, provides you with maximum exposure to other attendees via our main forum and a mix of smaller breakout rooms for closer conversation.

Plus, all our networking events are complemented with bitesize sessions from businesses within the field and beyond.

Join us on 26th January to hear from , Sector Manager for Construction at the Department for International Trade (DIT), as he explains how you can develop and grow profitable international business.

In 2018, the UK exported £9.6 billion worth of construction equipment, materials and services but the sector imported approximately £15 billion. In the Construction Sector Deal the government identified this as a priority for export growth and the DIT is there to help companies take advantage of international business opportunities.

With over 22 years’ experience in international trade promotion, as well as having worked as the International Manager for the Royal Institute of British Architects, Marcus will explain the support the DIT provides to companies in the wider construction sector to enable them to win business in international markets, as well as the advantages of SMEs exporting overseas.

You will also hear from Gary Stevens, managing director at Focus-SB, an established British premium electrical wiring accessories manufacturer. Gary will explain how Focus-SB, an SME based in East Sussex, has benefited from the DIT’s services and developed its international trade globally.
