Who Can Join

If you’re thinking about joining our network, please get in touch via our sign-up form. We will check that your business or organisation is eligible to join and let you know. Not sure if you’ll be accepted as a member? We have outlined our membership criteria below and would be happy to discuss this with you.

What types of companies and organisations can join?

Companies or client bodies working in the construction and built environment marketplace. 

Our members work in the construction and built environment sector and the wider supply chain. This covers a huge range of company types, products, and services as well as client end-users.

What size of company can join? 

We welcome companies and organisations of all sizes.

Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) 

SMEs based in England and working in the construction and built environment sector and the wider supply chain can join the network. Additional direct 1:1 support is available for SMEs based in England only. To be classed as an SME you must meet the following criteria: 

  • Be considered as an enterprise*. 
  • Employ fewer than 250 people. 
  • Have either an annual turnover not exceeding 50m Euros, or an annual balance-sheet total not exceeding 43m Euros, as evidenced by your last approved annual accounts. 

*An enterprise is any entity engaged in economic activity (the sale of products or services at a given price, in a given/direct market), irrespective of its legal form.

Pre-start entrepreneurs and students 

Our network is open to entrepreneurs, and further or higher education students who are developing a product for the construction and built environment sector. You may also be able to receive 1:1 support from our innovation competition programme, launching in 2021.

Large companies (non-SME), clients, and wider organisations

Are you willing to support the growth of SMEs? Do you want to help local SMEs to join your supply chain? Are you happy to promote innovation in the construction supply chain? Do you have knowledge to share? Larger companies in the construction and built environment supply chain are welcome to join our network. We are also keen to hear from client bodies and organisations with research and innovation expertise.
